Common use

Toba Eye Drops are a medication used to treat eye bacterial infections. The active ingredient in Toba Eye Drops is tobramycin, which belongs to a class of drugs called aminoglycoside antibiotics. They are commonly prescribed to treat conditions such as conjunctivitis (pink eye), keratitis (corneal inflammation), and other bacterial infections of the eye.

Dosage and direction

Before using Toba Eye Drops, read the instructions carefully. Position the dropper of Toba Eye Drops above your eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper to place the medication into the lower eyelid and remove any extra fluids by wiping.

Contraindications

Missed dose

Missed dose breaks the medicine schedule, which may result in less effective results from the eye drop.

Overdose

Symptoms of an overdose of Toba Eye Drops (tobramycin ophthalmic solution) 0.3% can be similar to adverse reactions seen in some patients. These symptoms include punctate keratitis, erythema, increased tearing, swelling, and itching of the eyelids.

Storage

Keep the medication away from direct sunlight. Do not expose it to freezing or refrigeration conditions. Store Toba Eye Drops at room temperature if possible, ensuring it is not too hot. The medication should be kept out of the reach of children and pets. Keep the lid tightly closed when not in use, as exposure to air can degrade the drug's efficacy over time.
