Common use

Contraindications

Vastarel is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Trimetazidine. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment.

Possible side effect

Drug interaction

CYP2D6 Inhibitors: Medicines like fluoxetine, paroxetine, and propafenone may increase the levels of Vastarel in your body.
Antihypertensive Agents: Medicines such as amlodipine or lisinopril may have their blood pressure-lowering effects enhanced when taken with Vastarel.
Beta-Blockers: When taken with Vastarel, beta-blockers like propranolol may have an increased effect on slowing down your heart rate.

Missed dose

If you forget to take a dose of Vastarel, take it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule.

Overdose

If you accidentally take more than the prescribed dose of Vastarel, you may experience common side effects like dizziness or stomach pain. If these symptoms persist, inform your doctor.

Storage

Store Vastarel at room temperature between 15 and 30°C. Protect it from light and moisture; keep it in a tightly closed container. Keep this medicine out of children's reach. Always check the expiry date on the label before use.
