Common use

Tetracin capsules are used to treat bacterial infections in the body. It can help with infections of the lungs, urinary tract, eyes, and other parts of the body. Dosage and direction

Even if you feel better, keep taking it until you have finished it.

Precautions

Tetracin is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor. Always consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Patients with liver disease or kidney disease should exercise caution when taking Tetracin. Regular monitoring of liver function and kidney function may be required while you are taking this medicine.
Patients with myasthenia gravis (a muscle weakness disorder) should also exercise caution as Tetracin may make the symptoms of myasthenia gravis worse.

Contraindications

Tetracin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Tetracycline or any other tetracyclines and also in patients with severe liver disease or kidney disease.

Drug interaction

Tetracin can interact with antacids (such as aluminium hydroxide and magnesium carbonate), iron supplements (like ferrous sulfate, ferric sulphate), and calcium supplements (like calcium carbonate and calcium citrate).

Missed dose

If you forget to take a dose of Tetracin, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

An overdose of Tetracin may cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you suspect an overdose, immediately consult your doctor.

Storage

Store Tetracin in its original container, keeping it tightly closed. Avoid exposing this medicine to excessive light, heat, or moisture. Keep it out of sight and reach of children.
