Besivance may be used alone or with other medications. Besivance belongs to a class of drugs called Quinolones, Ophthalmic. Besivance Ophthalmic Solution 0.6 % kills certain types of bacteria by disrupting their ability to create and repair their DNA. Besivance may not be appropriate for the infection listed above, depending on which germs are causing the infection. Bacteria in some locations may have developed resistance to Besivance, which will make it not work as well.
