How to Use
Crestor is a prescription drug that is used as part of a complete treatment program. It has to be used together with proper exercising, dieting and weight control. Patients must adhere to the prescription and the treatment plan.
The dose is taken once daily. It can be taken with or without food. It is recommended to take your dose at the same time each day. Your doctor will also require frequent blood tests to counter the effects of the treatment. You may also have to use the medicine on long term basis.
While on Crestor, contact your doctor immediately if you have any of the following reactions:

It can harm an unborn baby and cause birth defects. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant soon. Rosuvastatin may also pass into the breast milk and harm a breastfeeding baby.

Store at room temperature; away from moisture, light and heat.
For your own safety, inform your doctor if you have a history of or suffer from liver disease, kidney disease or diabetes. Let your doctor know if you have thyroid disorder or if you are of a Chinese descent. Your doctor should also know if you take more than 2 alcoholic beverages in a day.
In some conditions, Crestor may cause kidney failure due to the skeletal muscle tissue breakdown. Let your doctor know if you experience unexplained muscle weakness, pain or tenderness.
Avoid foods that are high in fats or cholesterol. Such foods may counter the effects of Crestor.
